Someone has interspersed the fairy dust in South London a bit too much - there is a human-sized fairy house in a residential street.
Opened in 2017, Fairy House offers something special for fans of all kinds of fairies. It is mainly used as a venue for children's parties, for which it can be rented privately. It is a safe step from the barn where we had our eighth birthday.
Friendly giants (adults) are invited to the fairy tearooms upstairs to wait while aspiring fairies are led around. The birthday boy can choose an adventure that ranges from pirates to unicorns to rainbows, and the party picks up on this theme with crafting activities, stories and a birthday picnic to help party-goers with their fairy-tale training.
If your child's birthday is not long in coming, The Fairy House also has weekends and school holidays. Book your slot in advance to attend as part of a larger group and spend a day at the Fairy School. Learn how to mix potions, ride unicorns, sing with elves, and dabble with mermaids.
The fairy tearoom and the shop are also open to the general public. However, they occasionally close for private bookings. Therefore, inquire in advance about opening hours before embarking on a special journey.
The Fairy House, 50 Webbs Road, Battersea, SW11 6SF.
